Matthew Addis
Matthew Addis is the CTO and a Founder of Arkivum, where he is responsible for technical strategy and provides subject matter expertise in archiving and digital preservation. Matthew previously worked at the University of Southampton IT Innovation Centre. Over the last fifteen years, Matthew has worked with a wide range of organisations internationally on solving the challenges of long-term data archiving, digital preservation and online access to digital content in sectors including heritage, higher education, scientific research, life sciences and healthcare. Matthew is familiar with implementing digital preservation and trusted repository standards and good practice, including OAIS, CoreTrustSeal, Nestor, NDSA levels, DPC RAM and FAIR. Matthew wrote part of the DPC handbook on digital preservation and authored the recent DPC report on use of checksums in digital preservation. Recently, Matthew was responsible for bidding, winning and delivering Arkivum’s involvement in all three phases of the ARCHIVER project.
