Dr Romain David (male) (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4073-7456) is a research fellow working on interoperability improvement in observatory and experiment at international scale. He is data steward and researcher at ERINHA AISBL (European Research Infrastructure on Highly Pathogenic Agents). His main focus is on development, choice and implementation of ontologies, standards and FAIR principles adoption. His previous position concerned large-scale observation systems of terrestrial and marine ecosystems coupled to information systems for the dissemination of biodiversity knowledge and the reuse of ecological data at CNRS, and high throughput phenotyping platforms at INRAE. He is also interested in the use of new methods of data mining and representation of data as graphs in order to propose scientifc questions emerging from the data, and to make scenario proposals dependent on contextual variables that can be used in the area of decision support. As data sharing is essential for heterogeneous data mobilization, he is involved in initiatives and approaches fostering open science that address FAIRness literacy, Data Management Plan, FAIRisation training, at national and international levels (RDA group, notably co-chairing 3 RDA groups: the SHARC (SHArinf Reward & Credit) interest group in Research Data Alliance since 2016,R.D.A. IG PDS – Professionalizing Data Stewardship Interest Group and R.D.A. IG SD -Sensitive Data). He is also involved in the EOSC TF FAIR Metrics and Data Quality, the FDO Forum subgroup “FDO type” et “FDO Sem” and national involvement in “Open Science Council”. He is notably involved in several EOSC FAIR related european programs (EOSC-Life, By-Covid, ISIDORe).
