Thomas Schaaf
Dr. Thomas Schaaf is an IT Service Management expert. As the external GDPR expert, he is part of the EOSC Future Data Protection Coordination team. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich, Germany. As a senior researcher at LMU he earned various advanced certifications as instructor, consultant and auditor for IT Service Management according to ITIL, ISO/IEC 20000 and FitSM as well as for Information Security Management (ISO/IEC 27000). He was the project director for the FP7 coordination and support action Service Management in Federated e-Infrastructures (FedSM), funded by the European Commission.
