Building training and its infrastructure for EOSC
Organiser:
EOSC Future
About the session
To provide the know-how to use EOSC, and especially the EOSC Portal, will require significant effort and infrastructure while the core elements of EOSC are being extended and built. The EOSC Future project is carrying on the work of building EOSC and part of its efforts are to produce a comprehensive set of training resources that will aid those that wish to engage with EOSC. This session will introduce many of the topics related to training and will be an opportunity for you, as a potential EOSC user, to hear what is being done and to also ask questions and provide feedback and suggestions. In brief, the session will introduce training topics being developed, their methodology and also the new EOSC Knowledge Hub that aims to provide a home from EOSC related training. Who should attend? – EOSC end-users, providers, intermediaries and facilitators, and trainers.
Relevance for EOSC
EOSC Future is the current flagship EOSC EC project that is continuing the work of past projects and will deliver the technical components of EOSC’s architecture and will thus shape the immediate future of science conducted in Europe and in the way scientific outputs and services will be reused and disseminated. Building the infrastructure is only part of the equation and will require their extensive use by researchers and other stakeholders. This will only be possible if EOSC users are well equipped to do so and will thus require extensive training.
