Implementing the EOSC Interoperability Framework: the EOSC Future contribution
Organiser:
EOSC Future
About the session
This session will provide an update about the EOSC Interoperability Framework (EOSC IF) that is being rolled out under that EOSC Future Architecture work package.
Enabling interoperability across resources and services is essential for building a European Open Science Cloud that is federated and fit for purpose. To support this goal, the EOSC Future has defined a framework to enable interoperability both across scientific collaborations as well as with the EOSC Core services. The interoperability is achieved by means of guidelines that are implemented in the form of profiles, APIs, guidelines, etc.
Relevance for EOSC
The session will present the core concepts of interoperability, the EOSC governance mechanisms (e.g. EOSC IF Registry, EOSC IF Guideline Proposal Process) and the overall vision and direction of the EOSC Interoperability Framework. As an example, the some of the EOSC guidelines for the EOSC Core services will be presented.
