ENVRI-FAIR EOSC activities and collaboration with e-infrastructures

ENVRI-FAIR
About the session
ENVRI-FAIR project will come to an end by mid-2023. As such, the question of finalizing the development of tools developed in ENVRI-FAIR, the sustainability of the ENVRI tools, and its ability to long-term sustain the main outputs of the projects and their delivery to/onboarding in EOSC is an open question. One of the main outputs is ENVRI-HUB, the metadata management tool that facilitates access to all RI data and services and a clear contribution to EOSC and other international partners. The goal of this session is to illustrate the current status of ENVRI EOSC activities, the areas of collaboration between ENVRI and e-infrastructures in order to ensure that the contribution of ENVRI to EOSC follows the philosophy EOSC Association and the needs of the research communities.
Relevance for EOSC
ENVRI-FAIR, among the five cluster projects, represents one of the pillars of EOSC. The project has significantly improved interoperability among RIs and the quality of services offered by single RIs. In particular, ENVRI-FAIR is developing common data management concepts and tools shared by the RIs that are greatly facilitating the use of data and services across domains, leading to unquestionable contribution to EOSC, but also benefits to science and society at large. Opening the door to future collaboration with e-infrastructures, ENVRI aims to ensure a long-term contribution to EOSC.
